REGULAR GIVING

Standing Order
This allows you to set up a regular payment from your bank account. There is no fee, and you can change your giving at any time.

For online banking please send the payment to:
Account Name: PCC of St Mary Magdalene
Sort Code: 08-90-00
Account Number: 50005657
Reference: Your full name

If you prefer a printed form to send to your bank you can download one from stmarysaom.org/standingorder, or ask the church office.

Cash or Cheque
We can provide small cash envelopes to use each week. These can be put in the offering plate or bag at each service, or returned to the church office.

Online Giving
You can give online at stmarysaom.org/donate. Please gift aid the donation if possible. A processing fee of approximately 1.9% will be deducted from each donation, so a bank transfer is more efficient for large donations.

Charity Accounts
Organisations such as Charities Aid Foundation or Stewardship allow you to set up your own charity account and make tax efficient donations to the church as well as other charities. There is a normally a processing fee of approximately 3%.

Payroll Giving - Company or Personal Pension
Payroll giving enables you to give to any charity straight from your gross salary or pension (before tax is deducted). Please speak to your employer. You will receive immediate tax relief. There is normally a processing fee though your employer may choose to pay it.

Cash or cheques can be placed in the offering plate or bag at each service, or returned to the church office. Please write your cheque to “PCC of St Mary Magdalene”.

CONTACTLESS GIVING
You can give using a credit or debit card using the contactless card reader as you enter St Mary’s from the foyer.

GIFT AID

If you are a tax payer, please sign a Gift Aid declaration and return it to the church office. We can then claim tax back on your gifts, which increases your giving by 25p for every pound you give, at no extra cost to you. You must have paid at least an equivalent amount of tax during the tax year.

Download a form from stmarysaom.org/giftaid, or ask the church office.

Gift aid for higher rate taxpayers
If you pay tax at a higher rate, you can reclaim from HMRC the difference between the standard rate of tax and the highest rate you pay. For example if you pay tax at 40%, you can claim back 20% of the value of your charitable donations. You could then donate the tax you claim back as well.

A GIFT IN YOUR WILL

A gift in your Will can be an expression of your gratitude and thanksgiving towards God, and is one of the most valuable and lasting ways to make a real difference to our future work here in Sale. We welcome all gifts, however large or small, and seek to use them in line with your wishes and our needs at the time. All gifts to charity in your Will are free of inheritance tax.

You can also make a gift in memory of a relative or loved one.

Please have a chat with our Vicar, Treasurer or Parish Finance Officer for more information. You can also find out more about legacies at stmarysaom.org/legacies or www.churchlegacy.org.uk
