INTERCESSIONS 

 

Mission Partner Prayer: Boaz Trust

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the work of the Boaz Trust, supporting destitute asylum seekers and refugees here in Manchester.   We thank you in particular that in the next few weeks, a number of people will be moving into safe Boaz accommodation.  We thank you that essential work has been carried out in some of the houses over the summer and that successful wellbeing, training and feedback sessions have been possible through the dedicated work of staff and volunteers.  Lord, we pray that the right people will come forward to fill the current job vacancies at Boaz and that positive funding decisions will be made to enable them to continue and expand their work.  Finally, we pray for those people supported by Boaz who are struggling, who need peace, healing and hope, and as the weather grows colder and life gets harder for those facing homelessness, we pray that Boaz's vision to end destitution among those seeking safety in the UK will come ever closer to being fulfilled. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. 


Father God, for those unwell at home or in hospital, we ask for an outpouring of healing – on body, mind and spirit:

Lord of grief and Lord of hope and eternal life, care for those recently bereaved.  Protect and provide for their families. Please bring peace and restoration.
