The Sale & Greater Manchester Myriad Hub is a partnership between Myriad and St Mary Magdalene Church, created to inspire and equip people to form new Christian communities and make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Through this learning community, you'll journey alongside other church planters, developing the practical skills, confidence and relationships needed to begin and grow a new Christian community in your local area.
Over two and a half years, the Myriad Pathway provides practical training, mentoring and ongoing support as you discern, establish and grow a new Christian community.
Every church planter is supported by an Oversight Minister, who is usually the recognised leader of their sending church (ordained within the Church of England where applicable).

Who is the Myriad Hub for?
The Myriad Hub is for anyone who feels called to start, lead or grow a new Christian community and wants to explore what this could look like with the support of others on the same journey.
You may have a vision or a growing sense that God is calling you to something new, but you’re still exploring what that could look like. Or perhaps you’ve already started a new Christian community and are looking for training, encouragement and support to help it grow.
Maybe this is you? Explore our
Am I Called? guide and then have a conversation with your church leader about your next steps.
All we ask is that, if you decide to apply, your application is supported by your vicar, church leader or the recognised leader of your sending church.
What will the Myriad Hub offer?
Our aim is to provide a safe space where you can grow and develop as a team. We want to provide you and your team with some useful tools you need to form new Christian communities.
This short video gives you a glimpse into the journey you'll go on when you join a Myriad Hub.

Five themes run through the Pathway:
-
vision and discernment;
-
leading and teams;
-
formation and core practices;
-
planting and discipling
-
growth and multiplication.
Over two and half years, we anticipate each six months will include:
-
attendance at one gathering (two days);
-
engaging with online learning (8-12hrs);
-
mentoring meetings (3-4hrs);
-
a supervision meeting with the hub leader (1hr)
There will also be some additional preparatory activities such as safeguarding training and online induction.
When will the hub run?
The Sale & Greater Manchester Myriad Hub dates are:
-
13-14 Nov 2026
-
14-15 May 2027
-
12-13 Nov 2027
-
19-20 May 2028
-
17-18 Nov 2028
(Exact format and timings confirmed nearer the time.)
Each gathering includes eating together, worship, input, reflection and team time - space to work on plans for your new community, alongside room to rest, connect and pray together.
There will also be space for social time and the development of relationships. Plus, a full day's learning programme, ending the time together in prayer.
What does it cost?
The Myriad pathway has national delivery costs which are being met through a
blended funding approach, including:
-
Diocesan and partner church contributions
-
Participant contributions
-
Trust and grant funding (including Activation Grants)
We are committed to ensuring that
cost is not a barrier to participation, particularly for leaders in lower-income contexts. Final costs will be confirmed once funding arrangements are complete.
