We are in the very early stages of assessing our space needs at St Mary's.
The junior Church groups are beyond capacity and there are some issues with our worship space.
Initial plans were presented by the architect and costings will follow in due course. No decisions will be made without a lot more discussion within the church!
Please do watch out for plans when they go on display - it would be good to have your opinions.
We want to be good stewards of all God has given us but also shape our space needs to the vision we have to be a growing church.
Can I encourage everyone to be praying through these issues.....
Steve A number of proposals have been put forward, to gain more space within the current buildings:
- Option 1
Reordering some of the current rooms in the Church Centre and building a meeting space at the back of the church - Option 2
Building an upper floor to the church hall accessed by stairs or lift, reordering some of the current rooms on the ground floor and creating extra rooms above. - Option 3
Extending the dais and removing the pews from the church and chancel and replacing them with chairs that can be moved around and stacked.
