Holiday at Home is a great few days of fun and friendship for those who are 55 and over.
Dancing, quoits, bowls, wine tasting, drama class, what the papers say, local history, painting class, table tennis and great food.
2006 was our first such event.
For 2006 and 2007 the Church Centre became a cruise liner.
The galley produced wonderful food for the daily lunch.
The week ended with a banquet and Captain's Table.
2008 - Tue 25th Mar to Fri 28th Mar
10.00am to 3.00pm each day
Leave 2008 behind .... Climb aboard and travel back in time - for the trip of your lifetime down memory lane.
You need to book your seat on the time machine bus at a cost of £20 for all four days, inclusive of meals.
Take a 'cruise' down memory lane as this year we follow a Second World War theme.
Hear about Spies at Dunham, the blitz on Manchester - and listen to the reminscences of a piano tuner and of a traditional grocer's boy.
Old time dance and sing-along - guess who was a beautiful baby - and use your creative skills in writing or story telling.
Make better use of your digi camera or paint beautiful pictures.
Above all; be sure to come along and enjoy yourself - at the country wine tasting and the street party finale.
