The Melanesians Visit St.Mary's School -
the Duck Dance.
Eight of the Brothers and Sisters from the Solomon Islands visited the
school. Teaching the children the 'Duck Dance' was the highlight. In the past the islanders did
not write anything down, rather they danced their messages as a form of
communication. Years ago
their ancestors returned after a visit across the Pacific to tell of the
wonders that
they had seen... including the humble duck. The Solomon's had no ducks at the
time.
They spoke of how they shared the love of Christ from island to
island.
