General Election Hustings - question
time.
Three of the local prospective candidates joined us in St.Mary's the
week before the General Election. Alistair Rycroft chaired the meeting
as members of local churches asked questions about World Poverty; The
Trafford Interchange; binge drinking and licensing laws; abortion issues
and several other topics. All three candidates told us how much they
appreciated the invitation as we had organised the only event of this
kind in the constituency. (April 2005) |
