Tim & Clare's Leaving Party

On Sunday 3rd August, SWCC gave Tim and Clare a send-off to Durham Theological College. Although sorry to say goodbye for now, we celebrate with them this exciting new chapter opening up.

At the Bring and Share Lunch, lots of people came to the microphone to share memories and to give special thanks for all Tim and Clare meant to them. We had gifts of a card signed by us all, a specially signed cd and book by Tim Hughes for Clare, a t-shirt specially designed by Trevor as a memento of the Sale West Houseparty for Tim and a cheque for £100.

The following Sunday, Tim told us the £100 was exactly the amount they needed for a cot, as they were expecting their first baby!! Congratulations again were shared! The Mackellar family have visited while passing their way and said how settled they were and it's good to know Sarah Macfaden will have readymade friends in Durham, when she arrives for Uni!
